Fever & Infection Treatment

Consider a home visit for fevers lasting more than 3 days, temperatures over 103°F, fever with severe symptoms (confusion, stiff neck, difficulty breathing), or if you're elderly or have a weakened immune system. Dr. Serrano can evaluate the cause and provide appropriate treatment.

Dr. Serrano can diagnose and treat bacterial infections, viral infections, skin infections, urinary tract infections, and respiratory infections at home. Severe infections requiring IV antibiotics or hospitalization will be referred appropriately.

Dr. Serrano can collect samples during home visits and coordinate lab work. Some point-of-care tests may be performed on-site, while others are sent to laboratories with results typically available within 24-48 hours.
